Documents required for foreign travel on visit and tourist visas effective from January 10, 2080 as per Government of Nepal, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Immigration.
- Passport with at least 6 months validity.
- Entry permit (VISA) or On Arrival Visa of the respective country is not required.
- Two-way air ticket.
- Proof of hotel booking for the duration of the visit or if staying with relatives without hotel booking, citizenship certificate or any other certificate that reveals the relationship within three generations of the same household.
- An invitation letter from a government or non-government organization covering the entire cost of the visit or if not, at least
- Proof of cash equivalent of USD 500 (Cash or Debit/Credit Card)
- When visiting the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Saudi Arabia on a visit visa, self-declaration must be done according to Schedule 2. The burden of proof of the details attached to the self-declaration will be on the concerned person.

NOC (NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE) FOR NEPALESE NATIONALS TRAVELING TO THIRD COUNTRY FROM INDIA
- Nepali citizens shall require an NOC from the Nepal Embassy, New Delhi while travelling to or via Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, Iraq, Libya and Lebanon using Indian airports. Similarly, travellers to Russia, excluding recipients of scholarships from the Russian Government and business visa holders, must obtain an NOC from either this Embassy or the Department of Consular Services of Nepal.
- However, Nepali citizens holding a valid Foreign Employment Permit (FEP) issued by the Department of Foreign Employment/Nepal are exempt from the requirement Of Obtaining any NOC from this Embassy.
- Similarly, individuals travelling from Nepali airports with a transit at Indian Airports, travelling to destinations directly from India or en-route to countries other than the above-mentioned, or those possessing a valid visa or residence card for the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, Finland, Norway, Romania,Japan and Schengen countries do not require such NOC.
- Moreover, holders of Diplomatic/Official/Service Passports and Nepali nationals bearing the United Nations Laissez-Passer (UNLP) are also exempt from requiring an NOC.
- Nepali nationals who require travel NOC are kindly requested to contact the Nepal Embassy, New Delhi via email (consularnepalembassy@gmail.com), along with all the required documents as mentioned in the Embassy’s website, at least seven (7) days prior to the intended date of travel. The Embassy may request for additional documents as deemed necessary.

NOC(NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE) FOR INDIAN NATIONALS TO TRAVEL TO THIRD COUNTRY FROM NEPAL
All Indian nationals require ‘THIRD COUNTRY NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE (NOC) from the Embassy of India, Kathmandu to travel to any third country from Nepal.
Third Country NOC can be obtained from Embassy of India, Kathmandu after submitting the following at Embassy of India, Kathmandu:
- Original Passport (along with Photo Copy of first & last page of passport);
- For Indian Nationals registered with Embassy of India, Kathmandu – Original Indian Registration Certificate issued by Embassy of India, Kathmandu (along with Photo Copy);
- For Indian Nationals not registered with Embassy of India, Kathmandu – Copy of Passport page displaying latest immigration stamps;
- Copy of Flight Ticket and Valid Visa/other Valid Travel Permits;
- Two passport sized photographs,
- Applicant must submit documents in person at least three working days prior to departure for third country; and
- NPR 2950/- as Consular Fees for issuing Third Country NOC.
- Third Country NOC will be issued after interview/due examination of documents.
- Note: Third Country NOC is not required for Indian air passengers transiting (do not clear Immigration) via Nepal.
